The Hong Kong Academy of Orthokeratology (HKAOK) was incorporated in 2011 and Hong Kong Cornea & Contact Lens Society (HKCCLS) in 2012. HKAOK was created to respond to a demand for advocacy training and resources in orthokeratology. Since members who practice orthokeratology are necessarily contact lens practitioners, HKCCLS was formed as a branch of HKAOK to include updates in general contact lens practice.
